Stymie02, good question. I would guess that they are fairly similar in that reguard. The map60 csx may be slightly more sensitive because of its antenna.

I have been looking at this and the map60 csx. Any idea if the dakota satellite reception is as the 60csx?

This unit would make a perfect marine gps. It is all about what features you need and how much you are willing to pay for extras!
